Original British film poster for Slumdog Millionaire This film was directed by Danny Boyle and Loveleen Tanda (co-director). The film is a broad adaptation of the novel Q A (2005) by Vikas Swarup. The cast includes Dev Patel, Freida Pinto and Saurabh Shukla. The film tells the story of eighteen year-old Jamal Malik, who is from a slum in Mumbai, who is a contestant on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire ? Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) is one question away from the grand prize when he is accused of cheating. Through a series of flashbacks Jamal recounts his life story to the police in order to show them how he was able to correctly answer each question. This poster is signed by Danny Boyle (director), Dev Patel, Freida Pinto and Anil KapoorIt is rare for anyone to have an original film poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs and video/dvd sleeves. It is unusual to have the film's poster with you when you try to obtain signatures. The poster is from the Sohal collection. Mr. Sohal met Danny Boyle, Dev Patel, Freida Pinto and Anil Kapoor at The British Film Academy Awards at the Royal Opera House, London. This poster is unfolded and conservation linen backed and would be shipped rolled in a strong tube.
