About the Item

Original US lobby card number 6 for the American film noir directed and co-written by Billy Wilder, and produced and co-written by Charles Brackett. The film stars William Holden, Gloria Swanson and Errich von Stroheim. The film was nominated for eleven Oscars and won three. Swanson's performance as the faded film star Norma Desmond is spellbinding. Although she was nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars, she lost out to Olivia de Havilland in The Heiress. This piece would be packed in strong flat pack and shipped by Federal express.

Repaired: This piece is in excellent condition, with the colour remaining very bright with only very minor restoration to a small tears in the right hand side white boarder going into the Yellow background by 1/8 of an inch There is light wear to the card.
