Their collaboration sought to faithfully depict the customs, costumes, and symbolic imagery associated with the chivalric age of Europe.
In this composition, two armored knights charge towards each other, their lances aligned for impact. Both riders and their horses are lavishly outfitted in heraldic trappings, each piece carefully painted with distinctive patterns, vivid blocks of color, and emblems that hint at noble lineages, family crests, or personal mottos.
