Antique Botanical Engraving of Dyer's Alkanet and Primrose Varieties - 1803 Floral Print by Samuel Curtis This engraving is from "The Botanical Magazine," published by Samuel Curtis on April 1, 1803. About the Artist: Sydenham Edwards was a prominent botanical illustrator in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. His detailed and scientifically accurate drawings contributed significantly to botanical publications.
