About the Item

A set of 4 black-and-white engravings from the book La Cuisine Classique by chefs Émile Bernard and Urbain Dubois. Published in the 19th Century, the illustrations depict elaborate cuisine and centerpieces. Two engravings come in a giltwood frame, while the other two come in a silver wood frame, all with custom matting and glass covers. Dimensions: Giltwood frames: 16 in. height x 12 3/4 in. width x 5/8 in. depth Silver wood frames: 15 1/2 in. height x 12 in. width x 5/8 in. depth Condition notes: In good condition. Wear consistent with age and use, including discoloration to paper and surface wear to wood and glass.
