Description:
This refined botanical engraving depicts white and black mustard, Sinapis alba and Sinapis nigra, including flowers, seed pods, and botanical details. Mustard was an essential culinary and agricultural crop.
Published in Zenker’s Merkantilische Waarenkunde, the plate reflects the importance of everyday food plants within economic botany.
