Antique print China titled 'Nangan'. Old print depicting a view on the city of Nangan with its ramparts and a Pagoda. This print originates from the Latin edition of Nieuhof's work titled 'Legatio batavica ad magnum Tartariæ chamum Sungteium (..)'. Nangan Township (Chinese: ???) is a rural township in the Matsu Islands and the county seat of Lienchiang County, Fujian. Artists and Engravers: Johan / Jan / Johannes Nieuhof / Nieuhoff / Neuhof (1618-1672) was a Dutch traveler who wrote about his journeys to Brazil, China and India. Condition: Good, toning on folding line. Few small spots, please study image carefully. Date: 1668 Overall size: 38 x 31 cm. Image size: 29 x 19 cm. Antique prints have long been appreciated for both their aesthetic and investment value. They were the product of engraved, etched or lithographed plates.
