Personification of Hope, a female figure beside an anchor, with a sailing ship in the background. With a four-line English caption. From 'The Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure'. This periodical was published between 1747 and 1814, edited by John Hinton and W. Bent.
Artists and Engravers: Anonymous.
Condition: Very good, given age. Right margin uneven from binding, with minimal paper loss. Left edge a little browned. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
