Antique print titled 'For Francis Forbes of the Citty of London (..)'. This original old antique print shows a 17th century port scene; goods are being unloaded from a boat. Originates from 'The Gentleman's Recreation.', by Richard Blome, published by S. Roycroft in 1686. Artists and Engravers: Francis Barlow (1626-1704): Known as 'the father of British sporting painting', Francis Barlow was an English painter and etcher specializing in animal subjects. Condition: Good, given age. A few minor spots, mainly in the margins. Soft crease top left corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study image carefully. Date: 1686 Overall size: 21.5 x 33.2 cm. Image size: 15.5 x 27.5 cm.
