Antique Pumpkin and Cucumber Botanical Prints, Garden Fruits, Germany 1852
This visually striking two-plate set illustrates pumpkins, gourds, and cucumbers, taken from Carl Gustav Calwer’s agricultural atlas published in Stuttgart in 1852. The plates show fruits at different stages of growth, accompanied by vines, leaves, and blossoms, rendered with careful attention to texture and form.
