About the Item
Group of four hand-colored engravings of monkeys by Jean-Baptiste Audebert (1759-1800), from his 'Histoire naturelle des singes', which included 62 images drawn and engraved by himself. Audebert devised a method to color the prints which was unusually beautiful.
