About the Item

Late 19th century pair of Stevengraph horse race pictures, English. "Pure silk woven pictures" of a horse race "The Start" "The Finish" in original carved oak frames (one frame end restored). One retains full advertising label showing these intended as a pair. "The Finish" has a small tear in the silk. Frames: 11.5" x 8 5/8". We are a family business that has been a major source for the selective buyer for over 90 years.
