French Decorative Ceramic Wall Plaque with Three Figures by Les Argonautes 1960s
Located in London, GB
French vintage decorative ceramic wall plaque with three figures, by Les Argonautes, Vallauris, France (circa 1960s). A refreshingly naive and charming piece depicting three men in olden robes and hats. It is up to the viewer to decide who they represent. This stoneware piece is weighty and substantial and may be hung on the wall or simply allowed to lean against a vertical surface. There's no doubt it is a charming piece by a renowned pair of French ceramicists who created 'Les Argonautes' pottery studio. This piece is signed on the backside: 'Les Argonautes'. It is in good condition. Hanging string on rear. Upon request a video may be provided. About the artists: Isabelle Ferlay (Born 1917) and Frédérique Bourguet (1925-1997) set up a pottery studio together in Vallauris in the South of France which they named 'Les Argonautes'. Using the local Vallauris red...

"Jagger 1968" Diamond Dust Screen Print by Russell Young
By Russell Young
Located in London, London
"Jagger 1968" Diamond Dust Screen Print by Russell Young. Edition of 7. Hand-pulled acrylic paint and enamel screen print with diamond dust on linen. Signed on verso. The photos do not even begin to do justice to this diamond-dust covered image which coincides nicely with the Rolling Stones' 50th anniversary. Russell Young is an internationally acclaimed artist who recently exhibited his Diamond Dust Paintings in Palm Beach, Florida. Young's work include his Diamond Dust works on linen, including a triptych of screen prints of Hollywood Goddess Marilyn Monroe and musical icon Kurt Cobain, both historical figures in the arts who met tragic and premature ends. His use of diamond dust mixed in with his paint is his way of paying reverence to his featured celebrities. While the process used to create Young's Diamond Dust screen prints is a closely guarded secret, it has been revealed that all the works are hand-pulled on the sister press of the very printing press used...
