Title: Elegant Noblewoman in Peach and Lavender Cloak, 15th Century Costume Study Description: This finely hand-colored engraving, published in 1845 as part of the distinguished series Costumes Historiques des XIIIe, XIVe et XVe Siècles, features an elegant noblewoman dressed in the fashion of early 15th-century Italy. With her graceful pose and refined garments, this plate offers a superb example of feminine courtly attire during a period of evolving European sartorial culture. The woman is depicted in a serene, slightly turned stance, her right arm outstretched in a poised and measured gesture. She is dressed in a full-length lavender gown, finely shaded and softly flowing to the ground.
