Antique print titled 'De Banck van Leeningh'. View of the City Bank of Loan in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Also known as the Lombard, located on the Oudezijds Voorburgwal of Amsterdam. This print originates from 'Historische beschryving der stadt Amsterdam: waer in de voornaemste geschiedenissen (..)' by O. Dapper. Published c.1663. Artists and Engravers: Olfert Dapper (c. 1635 - 1689) was a Dutch physician and writer. He wrote books about history and geography, although he never travelled outside Holland. Until today, his book Description of Africa (1668) is a key text for Africanists. Condition: Good, general age-related toning. Minor wear, blank verso. Please study image carefully. Date: c.1663 Overall size: 34.5 x 23.5 cm. Image size: 29 x 19 cm. Antique prints have long been appreciated for both their aesthetic and investment value.
