The artist's name "Van Aaken. ad viv del." indicates that the artist drew this image from life, capturing the orchid in its natural form. "Lith royale de C.W. Mieling" suggests that this lithograph was produced by the royal lithographer C.W. Mieling, known for high-quality work.
