Antique satire/caricature print titled 'De Roomsche Kerk beoordeeld door het woord van God'. Rare anti-Catholic caricature, made by a representative of the 'Aprilbeweging', i.e. the Protestant and conservative movement against the reestablishment of the episcopal hierarchy in the Netherlands in 1853.

Pierre Michel Delaporte (5 September 1806 – 30 September 1872) was a 19th-century French playwright, painter, lithographer and political caricaturist. He also created numerous lithographies, illustrations and prints which were published in many newspapers and magazines, such as La Caricature (1830–1843) or Le Figaro.
