About the Item

Set of 2 original antique botany prints from the work 'Botanica Pharmaceutica exhibens plantas officinalis quarum nomina indispensatoris recentur, cum Iconibus (..)' by A. Happe. The Pharmaceutica is a very rare work, even individual plates of plants are rare. This set shows Laurus Camphora and Laurus Nobilis. Camphora officinarum is a species of evergreen tree that is commonly known under the names camphor tree, camphorwood or camphor laurel. Lauris nobilis is an aromatic evergreen tree or large shrub with green, glabrous (smooth) leaves.
