Set of Four 18th Century Animal Engravings After Jacques E. de Sève, Framed
A beautifully presented set of four 18th-century animal engravings after Jacques Eustache de Sève (French, 1742–1788), featuring Le Jaguar ou Le Léopard, Le Lynx du Canada, Le Riche, and Le Lapin Sauvage. Each engraving is finely detailed and printed on laid paper, with crisp impressions and charming landscape elements including tipis and rustic structures in the background. The prints are attractively matted and housed in mirrored bevel-edge frames that reflect light and emphasize the classic monochrome etchings. Subjects: North and South American fauna including lynx, jaguar, and two species of rabbit/hare
