Snaffles WWI Military Print, That Far, Far-away Echo 1914 - 15.
A good Snaffles WWI military lithograph 'That Far, Far-away Echo', this is without the fox as it is the earlier issue. The picture shows an officer in the trenches dreaming of his hunting days, the dream sequence showing a huntsman and his hounds. In the top left-hand margin is a remarque depicting a horses head looking over a stable door. This Charles "Snaffles" Johnson Payne (1884 1967) picture is in good original condition and in original oak frame with the Snaffles blindstamp (a bridle bit) in the bottom left hand corner with the artists signature in pencil.
