About the Item

Silvino Lopeztovar Born in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. He is an Industrial designer from the Nuevo Mundo University, he has a degree in automotive design. From a very young age he began to show his interest in drawing and the creation of contemporary forms, at first his vocation was the plastic arts, but when he knows industrial design he is attracted by the forms that technology can make, he always had the conviction that industrial design and art can be fused. He began his career designing large sets for new product launches, in Madrid and Seville, Spain, at the National Auditorium on the cd. From Mexico, and for channel 22, he also participates in performances with Mexican musician Jorge Reyes and plastic artist Byron Gálvez. Parallel to this, he begins to design furniture taking as a philosophy the abstract shapes of some insects or with asymmetric shapes, always looking to the future with the experimentation of new shapes. He has participated in various exhibitions with his designs in Monza, Ravenna Italy, Design Forum in Helsinky, Museum of the University of Antwerp, Museum of Arts in Prague, Museum of the University of Seoul, Matadero, Madrid, Design Triennale in Milan, in 2005 Byron Gálvez invited him to design the furniture for the David ben gurion park in Pachuca Hidalgo, cataloged as work of the year in the obras magazine, in 2010 this furniture was selected at the II Ibero-American Design Biennial in Madrid, Spain, His work has been published in different media such as the design yearbook in Korea, in the Advento catalog edited by Federico Motta editore Spa. By Roberto Vallarino, Ibero-American Biennial Design Catalog, Madrid Spain, Enviva air magazine, one plus one newspaper by Adriana Moncada, Reforma newspaper, El universal, Obras Magazine, etc.
