Productions include everyday objects, such as plates and vases, as well as figurines and fine decorative objects. The Viero manufactory is known for the production of majolica and earthenware. "GBV" marks, with or without crowns, are the marks found under the bases of the products.
Nove di Bassano, in the province of Vicenza, is a center of ceramic production that has been active since the 17th century. Nove's ceramic tradition is characterized by a wide variety of styles and techniques, ranging from majolica to porcelain to earthenware. Over the centuries, Nove's ceramics have won international fame for their quality and beauty.
Nove's ceramics are distinguished by the fineness of their decorations, the vibrancy of their colors, and the variety of their shapes. Among the most recurrent subjects are floral motifs, landscapes, mythological scenes, and allegorical figures.
