About the Item

A gorgeous 1940s armoire cabinet reminiscent of designs by Italian architect and furniture designer Paolo Buffa. The monumental silhouette is composed of waxed wood in a rich cherry hue and features sculptural glass handles secured with brass hardware and a keyhole. The two doors, accented with carved square form motifs, open to reveal a hanging rod and petite chest with three drawers and circular pulls. This piece has a decorative scalloped apron and is elevated on tapered legs. Includes one key. Sourced in Italy, 1940s. Condition: Great overall vintage condition. Minor discoloration and scratches throughout that align with age and use. Includes one key. One natural wood split, as shown in photos.
