An antique 17th century Brussels Old Testament Biblical tapestry, size 11 '3 H x 10'10 W, featuring Isaac with his sons, Jacob and Esau, and other figures nearby. Enclosed within an elaborate foliate border. Wool with silk inlay. Linen backing. Very good condition, with some areas of prior restoration. A true masterpiece of color, design, and hand-weaving, and a statement piece that will greatly enhance your home decor!
Hanging:
The tapestry comes ready for hanging, with linen backing and a strip of hook and loop tape at the top end, which can be connected to the opposite side of the supplied hook and loop tape, which could be tacked to your wall. For those who prefer the use of a tapestry rod, we can add the appropriate size loops to accommodate your needs.
