About the Item

A fine pair of Continental Tapestry Panels in shaped frames in deep tones of Brown, Olive, Tan, Black and Mustard. One of the panels depicts two young ladies and a child in a park like scene with trees and greenery, and the other, also in a park with two ladies and a gentleman and both panels having a Dove in the lower register gazing into the scene. Dimensions: Each Panel measures 65.5” high by 32.85” wide by .5” deep. Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of age include aging and time-softened losses to the wood frames with the Tapestries themselves having a missing stitch here and there which does not detract from the overall very fine presentation.
