Antique Large Framed Tapestry Textile (Needlepoint and Petit point) "Catherine of Aragon and Cardinal Wolsey" referenced by Shakespeare, King Henry VIII, Act 3, Scene 1. The woven tapestry displays remarkable detail and scale and is further detailed with a truly impressive large deep silver/gold giltwood gesso frame with thick glass facing. The overall piece weighs approx 210 lbs. Circa Late 19th Century. Measurements: 68" H x 64" W x 7" D. Glass center: 53" H x 49" W.
