About the Item
Aubusson tapestry entitled “Pradera,” woven in low-warp technique with passages reworked in high-warp to achieve relief effects, using several types of wool, after a work by the Israeli artist Hedva Ser, produced by the Robert Four workshop.
The piece unfolds a twilight landscape with atmospheric accents, in which vegetation, hills, and plays of reflection subtly emerge through refined handling of the material and variations in stitch size. The work possesses a vibrant depth and a sense of suspended movement.
Signed within the weave with the artist’s and the manufactory’s signatures.
Label on the reverse: Aubusson tapestry woven by the Robert Four workshop, No. 4/6.
