About the Item

Panel of tapestry of the beginning of the XVIII ° century, called "woodworks", according to a cardboard of David Teniers II (1610-1690), says the young person. This tapestry was woven in a workshop of the royal manufactories of the city of Brussels-Brabant. One can see to the left in the foreground characters who unload the fish on the quay, then one of them who takes a full basket of fish on a wheelbarrow, while on the right an improvised market shows the inventory of species Of fish caught.
