L'ETRANGETRE
"Il était venu bien malgré lui,
Un jour chassé par la tempête.
Près du grand chêne, bien à l'abri
cherche refuge, s'y établit.
Et arriva ce qui arriva,
Trouva une faine plutôt bien faite.
De bonnes racines et joliette.
Auprès de lui dans le vert lieu
lui fit une place, ils furent heureux
quelle belle histoire, ah ! nom de Dieu"
This tapestry is number 4 of a cycle of 4, named « Les quatre saisons de l’Hêtre ».
« The four seasons of the beech » playing with the pronounciation « hêtre/être » (meaning beech/being).
The cycle was born from the meeting of Maïlys Seydoux-Dumas and Haïm Kern who wrote the poems accompanying each tapestry and each season.
The tapestries are exhibited at Musée Michel Ciry at Varengeville-sur-Mer until the 22nd of September.
