About the Item

A beautiful and quite engaging large Mid-Century Modern tapestry/wall hanging. The piece appears to be made of yarn or wool using a hand latch hook technique. The piece features a wonderfully composed forest and mountain landscape scene with the bright orange radiating sun descending/ascending over the snow capped mountain tops. The tapestry is not signed but its very likely that it was made in a Scandinavian country, perhaps Denmark or Sweden sometime in the 1960s. A wonderful work. Would be a great addition to any Mid-Century Modern art collection or make for an eye catching stand alone accent artwork in about any setting. Approximate dimensions: 48.5" high, 36.5" wide, 1.5" deep
