A very rare and astonishing textile art on a very large scale, this is a very large double length handwoven Scandinavian handwoven woolen wall hanging, all made by one of Finland's most well-known textile artists Pirkko Hammarberg known as "Filomena" - Linen Täkänä Tapestry for Heimo Vourelma Oy during the 70s. The craftmanship on display is on an amazing level.
Apart from the grand seize it is the colors and patterns used that makes this a very special wall decoration. It is made with a jacquard weave, where only the pattern is weaved together resulting in a two layer fabric. The pattern is partly traditional, yet with a contemporary feeling and the colors is a warm orange colors, with blocks of deeper orange and purple parts. The weaving is also double sided making it reversable. This piece of art will be a centerpiece and make a statement in any interior setting due to the seize and the fantastic colors.
It is 200cm (78.74") long and 96cm (37.79") wide. It is made out of linen and flax and it is in a fantastic condition, the price includes free shipping.
