A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts de Bourges and the École des Métiers d'Art in Paris, Antoine de Jacquelot is particularly known for his tapestries. He defines himself as a cartoon painter. He has worked for Hermès and has won several awards. Antoine de Jacquelot lives in the heart of nature and is a privileged observer, having constantly "collected" plants and animals, in order to depict them with the precision of a naturalist. Moving from canvas or cardboard to gourds and gourds as a painting medium was an idea that came to him when he was cultivating his vegetable garden: "I had to find something to do with all these gourds!" A wonderful opportunity that has inspired the artist for a year and a half: the material and shape of the dried fruit dictate the subject. The flora then takes on the appearance of fauna, transforming into fish or animals of all kinds with a perfect mastery of the brush and colors.. This limited edition masterpiece, woven in vibrant shades , blue, green, red, purple, orange , brown, yellow, black and white, adds a touch of sophistication to any space.
