About the Item

1845 Pair of Large Framed Samplers by the Baudain Sisters, English. A rarely found pair by Mary Ann (age 10) and Elizabeth Jane (age 11). While each worked with identical tree of life (Adam Eve) and Georgian brick town house, etc. there are a few differences between the two. Likely from the large Baudains families of the Isle of Jersey. Period stained veneered pine frames, possibly original. Museum conservation backing glass. Minor veneer bumps. Frames: 24.25" sq., 1 1/8" d. each.
