Louis-Marie Jullien came to Aubusson in 1936 and actively participated in the revival of tapestry following Lurçat, Maingonnat and Grommaire. His cartoons are a link between the dreamlike worlds of Picart le Doux and Camille Saint-Saëns. And towards the end of his career, his art would evolve towards abstraction, yielding to the taste for creative explorations of the time.
