About the Item

This pair of oak cherub brackets, or “consoles murale” originate from France and date to the mid-19th century. The intricate carvings adorning these marvels attest to the remarkable craftsmanship of their maker. Each corbel is fronted by an enchanting winged cherub holding a bouquet of flowers, their faces expressing pure and innocent joy. The partially stripped oak gives these brackets a unique character, showcasing the wonders of natural wood grain.
