About the Item
A wonderful and most decorative pair of Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. Giltwood and Mecca wall brackets. Each richly detailed wall bracket is centered by stunning foliate carvings leading up to handsome Eagles holding Mecca plaques in their beaks. The Eagles seemingly support the circular top shelves decorated with two rows of contrasting scalloped designs around the circumference and below the patinated wood display surface. All original rich satin and burnished gilding throughout.
