Each is modelled as a giltwood cherub with outstretched wings supporting a shell. They are a true pair, one left and one right. Cherubs by definition have wings, Putti have none. They are often emblematic of love in a light-hearted way, They are well-carved and gilt and suggestive of dalliance.
