About the Item
A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian set of four wall sconces, appliques made of hand blown colored Murano glass, designed and produced by Pino Signoretto, in good condition. Each of the slightly smoked wall décor pieces are particularized by different marine themes. Signed Pino Signoretto. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1970, Murano, Italy.
Pino Signoretto was an Italian designer and glass artist born in 1944, in Italy and passed in 2017. In 1954, Signoretto started working at a chandelier glass workshop, where he learned from great masters, such as Alfredo Barbini and Livio Seguso, etc. In 1960, he became a master glassmaker. In 1978, Signoretto opened his own studio in Murano, Italy. Over the years he has worked with many well-known artists and architects, including Dali, Vedova and Licata.

A colorful, vintage Mid-Century modern pair of Italian wall sconces, appliques made of hand blown smoked Murano glass produced by Mazzega, in good condition. Each wall light, lamp is composed with five yellow and white twisted glass pieces which are hanging on short slanted arms, supported by a rectangular polished brass frame. The detailed lighting features a two light socket. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1960 - 1970, Murano, Italy.
