About the Item

Two very large cast iron wall panels from the early Historicist period. Depicting the 12 signs of the zodiac with English descriptions. Diameter: 51 cm each Manufactured by August Kitschelt, purveyor to the Imperial Court. He exhibited at the 1898 World's Fair in Paris, among other places. Kitschelt also created designs for Josef Hoffmann.
