Antique Continental Copper Relief Plaque Depicting a Bear, Circa 1900 A well-executed antique copper relief plaque, continental, circa 1900, depicting a bear in a mountainous landscape. The scene is finely modelled in relief with naturalistic detail, showing a bear standing over its prey beneath a tree, with a bird in flight and pine trees below. The plaque is signed with the monogram AK MS to the lower right. Likely of German or Austro-Hungarian origin, with stylistic influence from Black Forest and early Jugendstil decorative traditions. Retains the original leaded and pierced mount to the reverse. The copper surface shows a deep aged patina with appropriate signs of age and handling. Origin: Continental Europe (likely Germany or Austro-Hungarian region) Date: Circa 1900 Material: Copper Dimensions: 20 cm diameter Condition: Good overall. Minor marks and surface wear consistent with age. Original reverse mount with oxidisation and old solder traces.
