Ceramic Wall Sculpture, Zoomorphic Feline Mask, France 1970s.
This unique, hand-crafted ceramic wall mask is an original, figurative piece depicting a feline, reminiscent of a fantastical and dreamlike creature.
The glossy glaze features shades of gray-blue and light brown, giving it a mysterious, otherworldly feel.
A sculptural mask with a very fine enamel finish, though there are 2-3 small glaze chips on the forehead (see photos and use the zoom to see it closely).
A cord attached at the top allows it to be hung on a wall.
This artwork, a unique piece from a ceramic artisan / artist, is marked with the initials “A.E.” on the back.
This piece evokes the timeless story of "Beauty and the Beast," recalling Jean Cocteau’s film with Jean Marais.
