About the Item
A wonderful depiction of an architect at task. Art Deco buildings incorporated figural panels in their facades such as this exquisite bas reliefs sculpted by Chuck Dodson. This has been framed in an industrial iron frame. The concrete sculpture was created for the Dupont Plaza Hotel constructed in 1957 in downtown Miami. Composed of cast white concrete, and exhibiting a handsome patina from years of exposure to Miami weather, these panels celebrate the sunny Art Deco times of South Florida. Framed for hanging in an iron shadow box.
