About the Item

Artist-signed wall sculpture with integrated wall hook, ready to display. This piece has been beautifully-crafted with an elegant, yet definitively Brutalist, torch-cut technique and is filled with positionable fallen leaves in a palette of copper and brass. If set down onto a dining table, the piece is stable and displayed, would be a stellar centerpiece. This piece is artist-signed on one leaf and bears all of the hallmarks of a lovingly made and well-crafted piece. The detail and patina are rich, with each leaf edge having tiny torched edges where every centimeter shows the artist's hand. Attention to the surfaces is evident with special bending and mark-making to give the leaves texture and dimension. It seems evident that this was created to resemble the popular work of Curtis Jeré. The main branch has a 3-part hook, which allows display horizontally or at various angles.
