A unique and most impressive French 19th century Neo-Classical st. Ormolu and Rosewood plaque. The wonderfully decorative Ormolu plaque is set within a richly carved wave like and mottled Rosewood frame. The central Ormolu plaque showcases a handsome mythological Griffin. The Griffin is shown in a seated pose with one paw raised while looking towards the right. Wonderful attention to detail throughout.
