Circa 1800 mounted bronze 3/4 profile. Likely French but possibly English. Carved wooden backing custom just for this particular item. In the original frame and retaining an old if not original striated pale blue velvet.
This is now on view at the Berkshire galleries of Great Barrington Massachusetts.
