About the Item

Stunning wall sculpture by Sylvia Moss. It contains four 3D resin-covered cubes in different colors. Sylvia (1935-May 9, 2011) was born into an artistic family and began painting and drawing in her teens. She attended many schools and classes: The California College of Arts and Crafts, The Art Student’s League of New York, Columbia University, and The California Art Institute. Sylvia painted in watercolor, oil, and mixed media. Bold brush strokes with thick oil paint or puddles and spatters of watercolor were characteristics of her work, allowing the texture of the materials to convey the emotion and atmosphere of the subject matter. Her work has been shown in over fifty exhibitions, including The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, The University of California at Los Angeles, The Bradbury Building (L.A.), The Gallery Soho (Palm Desert), and The McLean Gallery (Malibu).
