A rare Black Forest wall sculpture with a bear head, hand sculpted from chestnut wood. Polychrome painted head, on a wood sculpted rococo-style frame with scrolls with a gold leaf finish. The bear's expressive features, textured fur, and slightly open mouth capture the raw power and spirit of the wilderness, a testament to the mastery of 19th-century Black Forest artisans.
