About the Item
Rare and extraordinary and early pair of Neoclassical plaques. One having a carved and painted Bacchic relief plaque with putti joining Pan drinking from a jar. The antique plaques mounted in pale yellow faux marble painted wood frames. The other plaque with a magnificent Centaur with Cupid rider.
Dimensions: Each Plaque Measures framed H. 32", L. 48", Depth 1"
Condition: Please see detail photos. There are various signs of great age including some finish losses, stable age cracks, stable age cracks to the backs and various chipping and splits to the antique plaque and its backing all mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is exceptional.
