About the Item

An impressive and statement making pair of French 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated bronze and ormolu wall decor. Each decorative wall element, inspired by the famed "aux Victoires" model is centered by elegant bottom supports with a fine tapered designs and centered by rich palmettes. Leading upwards are recessed patinated bronze panels with elegant tied berried laurel wreaths amidst ribbons and a striking spheres. The beautiful open winged maidens are draped in wonderfully executed flowing garments and hold their hands in the air. They have fine berried laurel wreaths in their hair and display intricate attention to detail and finely chased plumage.
