About the Item
A great looking set of two hand carved original wooden Folk Art deer head wall decorations. A great piece for a suitable ambiance in a trophy room or the office of a Hunter or Woodsman. More than likely one of the Folk Art items made between 1860 and the late 1890s. In remarkably good as found condition with only a few small wormholes on the trophy plaque. See pictures. Real antlers to this wonderful carving. Found at an estate sale in Nuremberg, Germany. One is approx. 14" high, 6" wide and approx. 6.5" from the wall to the end of the nose. The other one is a little smaller, it is apron. 12" high, 6" wide and 6.75" from the wall to the front.
